Ease of use was my top priority throughout this project because it is something I value very highly as a user. To start, I visited several websites from different phone carriers to understand how they allow users to compare plans. This research allowed me to pinpoint the most crucial pieces of the user experience. Next, I created wireframes for each layout size to ensure maximum device compatibility. Then I created the site using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Supabase to store all of the plan information. These tools made the development process much simpler and more efficient. Finally, I tested the efficacy of the sorting algorithm and made tweaks to enhance the suggested matches that appear after completing a quiz. Although the quiz was great for new users, I wanted to provide an equally seamless experience for returning users. To do this, I implemented a memory feature that saves existing users’ previous quiz results so that they can be quickly accessed upon returning to the site, without a login.
